LOCAL actors and comedians are lending the craft to the Nollywood in new flick 10 Days in Sun City: Another Adventure of Akpos, reports Bella Naija.
Skeem Saam star Amanda Du Pont and comediennes Thenjiwe Moseley and Celeste Ntuli (who also acts in leading soapie Isibaya) have lent their acting stripes to Nigerian/South African comedy drama film production shot in Sun City, Johannesburg and Lagos.
Directed by award-winning South Africa-based Nigerian Director Adze Ugah and written by award-winning writer-director Kehinde Ogunlola, the film which is produced by Ayo Makun, Darlington Abuda and Kirsty Galliard is set to hit cinemas in both countries from June 23 this year.
The main cast features of A-list movie cast from Nigeria such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Adesua Etomi, Mercy Johnson, Falz The Bahd Guy, 2Baba Idibia, Gbenro Ajibade, Fathia Balogun, Uti Nwachukwu, Yvonne Jegede and Alexx Ekubo.
According to reports by Bella Naija, the movie is comedy-drama that sees Akpos on another ‘adventure’, this time, to South Africa, with his girlfriend Bianca, a beauty queen Akpos sacrificed his livelihood to make successful.
After successfully winning a national beauty pageant, Bianca, ever loyal to Akpos, is now an international celebrity rolling with society’s ‘high and mighty’. She is, amongst several mouth-watering corporate endorsements, global ambassador to, and the face of multi-national cosmetics conglomerate ‘OTAWI’ which is owned by Nigeria’s richest man, Otunba Ayoola Williams, aka ‘The Old Fox’. This lands Akpos in a predicament as he tries to figure out if he should give up his love to wealth. - additional reporting by BellaNaija
