MANY may recall his name as part of the love jams line-up on MetroFM back in the days and now Ernest Pillay makes a come back to television screens this month.
The new show is the creation and brainchild of the legendary radio host Ernest Pillay, who is also Executive Producer and host. The series takes viewers on a nostalgic musical journey with some of South Africa’s influential icons as they share their life stories.
Ernest Pillay is currently the host of the weekday show, The Drive Time Experience, which airs from 15:00 to 18:00 on Radio 2000. Ernest also hosts The Good Life with Ernest Pillay on Sundays from 12:00 to 15:00, also on Radio 2000.
Ernest Pillay is a cosmopolitan presenter who appreciates lifestyle, fashion, music and the finer things in life. He has established himself as a trendsetter during his early days in broadcasting and he remains one of the leading men in South African radio.
“The Good Life with Ernest Pillay was inspired by my curiosity to find out what South Africans define as ‘the good life’. Many of us have our own definition of the phrase, influenced by our individual life experiences and memories. The show seeks to uncover this as I engage with my influential guests”, says Ernest.
Ernest has carved an impressive career in broadcasting since his early days at Metro FM in the early ‘90’s. He has worked with a total of 24 radio stations over the last 27 years. He has also presented TV shows including Bravo, Midday Breeze and Studio Mix.
The Good Life with Ernest Pillay is produced by Tung N Cheek Productions with Producer, Lizette Khan and Actor/Director, Justin Strydom.
