MTV has announced that legendary rapper Busta Rhymes will be honoured with the Global Icon Award at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards. The award ceremony will be held at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Sunday, November 10. Busta will also hit the stage for an unforgettable performance of his iconic hits, including his latest viral sensation, “Do The BusABus Pt.2.”
This recognition follows Busta’s recent trip to South Africa, where he performed at the DStv Delicious Festival and expressed his love for reconnecting with African culture and the local hip-hop scene.
Reflecting on the award, Busta said, “I am beyond honored and grateful to receive the MTV EMA Global Icon Award. This recognition is not only a celebration of my career but also of Hip Hop culture. To be acknowledged on this global stage is a reminder that Hip Hop has no boundaries - and neither do I! ‘Cause THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP!”
