MZANSI MAGIC HAS A NEW LOOK & BRINGS MORE SHOWS THIS MONTH

Mzansi Magic Music, the 24-hour music channel has unveiling a brand new look and feel.

The South Africa music scene has changed significantly over the past years. Mzansi Magic Music is a channel that has an element of nostalgia and is passionate about local music. We would like for this channel to be synonymous with Afro Soul and home of the classic tunes that resonate with the audience.

“Evolution is essential for growth hence the decision to refresh the look and feel and improve the schedule to meet the needs of our audience. Mzansi Magic Music’s new look is something we are excited to unveil and we are sure our viewers will love it,” says Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.

In addition to the rebrand, the channel will also see some fantastic favourites return this month, with a refreshed look and scheduling, we will continue to produce fresh content for this channel.

In keeping with the laidback feel of season 1, season 2 of Lounge Series features intimate studio performances by some of the country’s most talented names in front of a socially distanced live audience. Throughout the 13 episodes, viewers will enjoy more than just the tunes, but also the stories from the artist themselves. Performances including Lady Zamar, Simmy, Blaq Diamond, Langa Mavuso, Mandisi Dyantyis, Lebo Sekgobela, K.O and Khuli Chana.

Also returning in February is Mzansi Magic Music Specials, hosted by the dynamic duo of Stoan and LootLove. Viewers will be treated to a new set of intimate, candid and revealing interviews with some of the biggest names in South African entertainment. Guests this season include multi-talented musicians such as, Bongani Fassie, Zahara, Mr Jazziq and thespians, Rapulana Seiphemo, Israel Matseke Zulu, Thembi Nyandeni and Thembi Seete.

And finally, featuring a blend of South African contemporary and traditional singalong worship music, the moving VIP Invite is a perfect way to wind down a Sunday afternoon. More than a music show, it’s a star-led praise and worship sermon with real-life testimonies from audience members as well as from musical guests. Hosted once again by gospel star Hle, season 2 of VIP Invite will feature guests including Khaya Mthethwa, Keke, Sbu Noah and Ayanda Ntanzi.
