Nickelodeon has revealed the nominees for its annual Kids’ Choice Awards, featuring over 50 first-time nominees across film, television, music, sports, and more.
Among the highlights is the Favourite African Kidfluencer award category, with nominees including rising South African kidfluencer Biko’s Manna, kid influencer Boluwatife Balogun, international dance group Dream Catchers, popular Nigerian DJ Wysei, and social media influencer Kairo Forbes. Additionally, Grammy award-winning artist Tyla has been nominated for Favourite Global Music Star.
Hosted by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 will premiere from Bikini Bottom on Wednesday, 17 July at 15:00 CAT on NickToons (DStv Channel 305).
The nominee list also features globally recognised sports stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and LeBron James, who are vying for the Favourite Male Sports Star category.
First-time nominees include notable names such as Halle Bailey, Austin Butler, Sabrina Carpenter, Kai Cenat, Timothée Chalamet, Luke Combs, Ariana DeBose, Ayo Edebiri, Ryan Gosling, Reneé Rapp, Margot Robbie, and Paul Rudd. Leading the pack is Taylor Swift with six nominations, followed by Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, and Beyoncé, each with four nominations. Details on musical performances and presenters will be announced later.

This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards promise to put kids and families in control as they enjoy the biggest party of the summer in Bikini Bottom. The show will feature enhanced graphics, high-tech motion capture, augmented reality, fun celebrity collaborations, stunts celebrating SpongeBob SquarePants’ special birthday, the iconic orange blimp award, and epic slimings.
