It’s that time of the year when the very best on-air talent, stations and campaigns are celebrated as the South African Radio Awards announce their official nominees. After putting blood, sweat and tears into her popular 9am – 1pm show on East Coast Radio, Carol Ofori is thrilled to have received two nominations this year.
Carol scored nods in the commercial radio Best Daytime Show category as well as one in the Best Promotions Event/Stunt category for East Coast Radio’s V For Vasectomy Valentine’s Day stunt.
“I am very excited about the two nominations we scored at this year’s Radio Awards,” a thrilled Carol Ofori shares. “This is a nod not only to me, but to the executive producer of the show Rory Petzer. We have worked so hard for the show so I am very excited to see that it has resonated with so many people and to be nominated alongside so many amazing, talented people in such a huge category with great talent is something I am so thankful for.”
The Radio Awards honours outstanding achievements across Campus, Community, Public Broadcast (PBS), Commercial, Podcast and Internet radio, setting benchmarks for all stations and professionals to strive towards.
The entries were adjudicated by a panel of 37 judges and reviewed by BDO South Africa, the official auditors of the Radio Awards. Entries for this year’s awards were required to be broadcast on FM or AM, (and there is an internet radio category) between 1 January 2021 and 31 March 2022.
Catch Carol Ofori every weekday between 9am and 1pm on East Coast Radio.
