‘Pound 4 Pound’ Premieres this Sunday on BET

Get ready for a knockout night of entertainment as the highly anticipated boxing drama, Pound 4 Pound, makes its debut this Sunday, 29 September, at 18:30 CAT on BET (DStv channel 129). This powerful 13-part series brings the electrifying world of African boxing to your screens, shining a spotlight on the indomitable spirit of women in the sport.

Leading the charge is the fierce and formidable Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, portraying Lindiwe Mkhwanazi—a fighter who faces battles both in and out of the ring. Her journey is one of resilience and courage, embodying the strength of women who fight to make their mark in a male-dominated arena.

Mduduzi Mabaso, who plays the seasoned trainer Dingaan, couldn’t be more thrilled about the show. “Working with this incredible cast was an absolute joy,” he shared. “The energy on set was amazing, and everyone was so supportive of one another throughout the entire shoot. We were like a family, lifting each other up in every scene.”

Meanwhile, Nicole Bessick, stepping into the role of Crystal Robinson, reveals the intense dedication required for her character. “It wasn’t just about acting; I had to perform my own stunts for the action scenes, which was physically intense,” she says. “But what made it even more challenging was bringing Crystal’s raw emotions to life—her guilt and self-blame for her daughter’s death. It pushed me to my limits, but it was so worth it.”

Don’t miss a moment of the action, the drama, and the gripping performances. Tune in to Pound 4 Pound this Sunday, 29 September at 18:30 CAT, only on BET (DStv channel 129). It’s more than just a fight—it's a story of triumph, perseverance, and the unbreakable will to overcome.
