BET has announced that global superstar, diamond-certified rapper, producer, and entrepreneur Travis Scott will be honoured with the prestigious "I Am Hip Hop Award" at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. A six-time nominee this year, Scott will be celebrated for his groundbreaking influence, creativity, and cultural contributions that have solidified him as one of the most innovative forces in music today.
The event, hosted by Hip Hop legend Fat Joe, was taped at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas on 8 October and will premiere on Wednesday, 16 October, at 2:00 AM CAT on BET (DStv Channel 129). The show promises electrifying performances from artists like 2 Chainz, GloRilla, Juicy J, and Yung Miami, among others, while also showcasing iconic club anthems throughout the night.
Megan Thee Stallion leads this year’s nominations with 12 nods, and African stars Burna Boy, Odumodu Blvck, Maglera Doe Boy, and Blxckie are also among the nominees.
